Made for everyday use
Simple ways to bring your QR code into the real world.
- Invite feedback from a receipt or customer service card.
- Collect event inquiries with a helpful subject already filled in.
- Put a contact email on a poster without asking people to type it.
How an email QR code works
Your camera reads a mailto link. Opening it asks an installed or configured email app to create a draft. The person scanning must review and send the email; scanning alone sends nothing.
Frequently asked questions
A few things to know before you share.
Will the QR code send an email?
No. It opens a draft in an email app. The user decides whether to send the message.
Can I include a subject and message?
Yes. Both are optional and are encoded into the mailto link. Email apps can differ in how they handle these fields, so test the code in the apps your audience uses.
Does it work without an email app?
The device needs a configured handler for mailto links. Without one, it may display the address or ask the person to choose an app.
