Scan with your camera and open the link. It leads to WhatsApp’s chat flow for the encoded number. WhatsApp access and an internet connection are required. A draft message is not sent automatically.
Frequently asked questions
A few things to know before you share.
Does scanning send a message automatically?
No. The code opens a chat or draft. The person scanning reviews the message and decides whether to send it.
How should I enter my WhatsApp number?
Include + and your country code, for example +447700900123. Use a number registered with WhatsApp. This tool can validate the number’s format but cannot verify its WhatsApp registration.
Is this a WhatsApp account QR code?
This creates a static wa.me chat link QR code. It does not log in to WhatsApp, link a device or provide access to your account.
