Frequently asked questions
A few things to know before you share.
Is my WiFi password uploaded?
No. The network name and password are encoded locally in your browser. The downloaded QR code contains those credentials, so share it only with people who should have network access.
Which security types can I use?
Choose WPA for WPA, WPA2 or WPA3 Personal networks, WEP for a WEP network, or Open for a network without a password. Enterprise networks requiring a username are not supported.
What happens if I change my password?
Create and print a new QR code with the updated password. The old code will still contain the old credentials.
